Erika's Cavaletti clinic helps the rider create a sport horse that is highly responsive, maneuverable, can rapidly and smoothly collect or extend the gaits, stop, turn, and remain balanced. Erika's 45 minutes of instruction deliver results that other training doesn't accomplish in years. Best known for her ability to achieve fast results with no pressure for the horse or the rider, she supplies her students (two & four legged) with volumes of empathy and encouragement.

All Breeds, All Disciplines, All Levels.

Cavaletti is a wonderful way to give your horse a Body Pump workout, flex the joints, build better trust and respect between the horse and rider and to experience Erika’s teaching style in a fun group environment.

“Every horse is welcome. It’s a great strength builder. The slower you go, the more passage-ey the exercise gets.”

You begin with four cavaletti and as you develop a tempo and rhythm with your horse, Erika uses a combination of humor and determination to help you relax and learn, adding up to 25 cavalettis. Your horse will gain elasticity, respond better to half halts, learn to ride straighter, and develop strength and flexibility. Horses will be placed in groups according to their stride. Group lessons, no more than four in a group. Sessions 45 min. Please warm up prior to the session.

Along with her private student lessons in Sonoma County area and a show schedule, Erika holds Cavaletti Clinics internationally & across the US.

Erika is kind, cheerful, generous in her instruction, and wonderfully communicative.

If it appears you are not understanding her instructions, she takes the time and energy to think of a different way to communicate the instruction until you understand. I have heard, on and off, one particular instruction with various dressage instructors over the years to correct my position...each time I asked the instructor what it meant, and each time I heard “you just do it” (IMO, soften your elbows is not intuitive).

In about ten seconds, Erika explained what exactly that meant, and I was immediately able to understand, and begin to correct, a lifelong misunderstanding of a very basic and important tenant of dressage.

I couldn’t have been more thrilled.

Just go! Take the lesson, attend the clinic, don’t stress about your level. She will happily meet you where you are.
